If your room is on the top floor, use the higher BTU response.
In high humidity areas, lower BTUs will take longer to cool but will do a better job of dehumidifying.
The low side of the response is estimated to give a room temperature of 78° F. If you like cooler temperatures, you will need higher BTUs.
High temperature area such as Southern California, Texas, and Florida, require higher BTUs.
Northern areas such as Washington, Maine, and Wisconsin require lower BTUs.
