All air conditioners create condensation, especially when it is humid outside. And heat pumps also create condensation. A condensate drain kit moves the excess water safely away from the PTAC unit. It attaches to the wall sleeve base pan or outer corners for easy, direct indoor/outdoor disposal of excess water. If routed indoors, it must be connected to a drain within the building.
