The Aurora Series provides energy efficient, comfort control for a single zone. This unit is a cooling system with a heat pump. Each single zone system comes complete with an indoor and outdoor unit as well as a remote. The streamlined, wall-mounted FTXV15AVJU9 pairs with a quiet, compact outdoor unit (RXT15AVJU9). This unit offers 15,000 BTUs cooling capacity and 15,000 BTUs heating. In concert with the new DOE ratings, the Aurora Series mini split systems now have EER2, SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings. The 15,000 BTU class Aurora wall system features 12.0 EER2, 21.0 SEER2 and 10.5 HSPF2 ratings.
Even if the outdoor temperatures drop as low as 14°F, this unit will keep cooling. It will continue to cool with outdoor temperatures ranging from 50°F up to 115°F. Low ambient cooling operation down to -4°F (-20°C) can be achieved with field setting adjustments as well as an air adjustment grille (KPW937F4), allowing you to keep rooms like server rooms or kitchens cool all year long. The heat pump will continue to heat the room as long as the outdoor temperature is above 5°F. It is a great option for several regions of the country. With the addition of a drain pan heater, your Aurora Series will provide heat with outdoor temperatures as low as -13°F.

Standard features of the FTXV15AVJU9 include Econo and Stand-by modes, mold resistant washable air filter, auto-swing (horizontal and vertical), auto fan speed, night set mode, dry function, fan only and on/off timer. This heat pump includes features such as auto changeover and hot start function. The RXT15AVJU9 outdoor unit features quiet operation and a slim, compact design that will be relatively inconspicuous in any outdoor installation. Every condenser has and Anti-Corrosion Treatment to protect it from the elements.

Since a mini split does not tie into your main cooling/heating source, it can be used in many installations including separate areas like a garage, basement, office or nursery.

- Titanium Apatite Photocatalytic Air Deodorizing Function - This filter combines the air-purifying filter and titanium apatite photocatalytic deodorizing filter in a single highly effective unit. The filter traps microscopic particles, decomposes odors and even adsorbs and deactivates bacteria and viruses. It lasts for three years without replacement if washed once every six months. (This filter is on the CTXS07WVJU9 and FTXS_LV units)
- Mold Proof Air Filter: The pre-filter net is impregnated with a safe, colorless and odorless mold preventative. This renders the filter virtually immune to mold.

The Daikin Aurora Series mini split systems come with a 5 year parts and compressor warranty that is expandable to 12 years parts and compressor as long as the unit is registered after installation.
