The SD58DVAX46 pipe reducer may be required to connect to the power vent, DVKPM, if you have a 5" x 8" vent pipe. The power vent connects to a 4" x 6-5/8" vent pipe. The SD58DVAX46 pipe reducer allows you to go from 5" x 8" to 4" x 6-5/8".
Installing a power vent to your direct vent fireplace will give you the option of installing your direct vent fireplace almost anywhere in your home. The DVKCV is a vertical conversion kit used in conjunction with the DVKPM horizontal power vent termination. It is required for vertical termination of your direct vent fireplace. Downward venting is possible up to 5 feet below the base of the fireplace. A wiring harness is also required and available in several lengths from 25 ft to 100 ft. All of these options are available (sold separately) based on your needs.
It can be used with several Empire Direct Vent Fireplaces as long as they are equipped with a multi-function remote. These include direct vent fireplaces in the 90 Series.
