The Friedrich D50B1B 50 pint dehumidifier is perfect for larger wet to very wet spaces from 1000 - 2000 sq. ft. Very wet spaces may include an area with standing water or always wet floors. The D50B1B will work to remove up to 50 pints of moisture from the air in a 24 hour period under any of these conditions. If you have areas that are damp, a smaller unit, such as the D35B1A(B), may do the trick. Damp areas include spaces that might have a musty odor in humid weather or just feel damp all the time, or may exhibit some damp spots on the walls and floor.
The D50B1B includes three drainage options. It includes a removable 16 pint collection bucket with handle for manual emptying but can also be set up for continuous drainage. Additionally, this model also include a drain pump. The drain pump allows for vertical or horizontal pumping up to 15 ft. from the unit.
You can set the humidity level from 30% - 90% RH. The D50B1A also includes a 2-speed fan, 24 hour ON/OFF timer, auto defrost and will operate in low ambient temperatures down to 41°F. The control panel is top mounted and features digital touch control operation. The control panel includes a bucket full lamp, defrost lamp, current temperature/timer set and humidity displays as well as fan speed and °C / °F selector button.
The D50B1A also includes a slide-out washable filter, and easy roll casters. The casters make this portable dehumidifier easy to move from room to room. It plugs into a standard 115 volt outlet and includes a 6ft. power cord.
This model meets the requirements for use in California or Washington.
