R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment
This PDE09R3SGR3 is a 10,000 BTU cooling PTAC with electric resistive heat and an EER of 12.5. This unit features 2 fan speeds for better circulation and with 265V electricity, it is for commercial use only. The Constant Fan Mode on the SG Series produces an uninterrupted stream of white noise. This helps to block outside noise as well as minimize the some of the noise related to compressor start-up.
Friedrich PTACs include a power cord when shipped. The PDE09R3SGR3 ships standard with a 20 Amp cord. The power cord provides 3.5 kW of electric heat. Equipped with a Universal Heater, the electric heating capacity for any given unit is determined by the power cord. The universal heater allows the installer to change the heat output by simply changing the power cord. The power cord is as easy to install as a phone jack.
Standard features including the easily accessible and easy to use LCD digital control pad with one-touch operation, and the combination of an indoor and an outdoor motor as well as a tangential blower wheel contribute to the quiet and efficient operation of this unit. The blower wheel casts a large air flow path in order to circulate conditioned air across the entire room. All the features you have come to expect with a PTAC unit are built in including electronic temperature limiting, electronic defrost control, remote thermostat operation, and internal diagnostics.
Thoughtful maintenance details include service error code memory storage, emergency heat override plus a user-friendly design. Air filters are top mounted for easy cleaning and replacement. The antimicrobial-treated filter protects against fungal and bacterial growth. It is removable and washable. Additionally, there is a fresh air damper to bring in fresh, outside air when desired to help alleviate indoor air staleness. Friedrich PTACs are also equipped with Room Freeze Protection. This feature automatically turns the heat on in unoccupied rooms when the temperature drops to 40°F. With over 40 standard features this Friedrich PTAC unit is a great solution.
To back it all up, the Friedrich PDE09R3SGR3 is backed with an industry-leading warranty. The warranty includes 2 year parts and labor and a 5 year limited warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.
This unit is designed to fit in the industry standard wall sleeve size of 42" wide by 16" high which makes for easy replacement even in a competitors sleeve.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
