The PDE15K5SGR3 Friedrich Premier line PTAC unit proudly includes R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment
This PDE15K5SGR3 is a 14,400 / 14.700 BTU cooling PTAC with electric resistive heat and an EER of 10.6 / 10.4. Not only is this unit better for the environment with its R32 refrigerant, it will save you money and run efficiently for years to come! It uses 208 / 230V electricity and features a 2 speed fan for better circulation. The Constant Fan Mode on the SG Series produces an uninterrupted stream of white noise. This helps to block outside noise as well as minimize the some of the noise related to compressor start-up.
Friedrich PTACs include a power cord when shipped. The PDE15K5SGR3 ships standard with a 30 Amp cord. The power cord provides 5.0 kW of electric heat. Equipped with a Universal Heater, the electric heating capacity for any given unit is determined by the power cord. By changing the power cord, you can change the heat output of the universal heater. Alternative amperage cords are available separately. The power cord snaps into the unit for quick installation.
Standard features included on all Friedrich SGR3 Series PTACs include two separate motors - one indoor and one outdoor, for quieter operation, a tangential blower wheel for efficiency and an easy-to-use digital control pad with LCD readout and electronic one-touch operation. The blower wheel creates a wide air flow path to circulate the conditioned air throughout the room. It is also loaded with top-of-the-line engineered capabilities like internal diagnostics, remote thermostat operation, electronic defrost control, and electronic temperature limiting - just to name a few.
Units are designed with easy maintenance in mind. Features include error code memory storage, a user friendly design, and emergency heat override. Easy access to components for repair and cleaning like top-mounted filters improve serviceability and durability. The antimicrobial-treated filter protects against fungal and bacterial growth. It is removable and washable. Additionally, there is a fresh air damper to bring in fresh, outside air when desired to help alleviate indoor air staleness. Friedrich PTACs are also equipped with Room Freeze Protection. This feature automatically turns the heat on in unoccupied rooms when the temperature drops to 40°F. In total, the PDE15K5SGR3 has over 40 standard features.
To back it all up, the Friedrich PDE15K5SGR3 is backed with an industry-leading warranty. Full parts and labor coverage is provided for the first two years while the sealed refrigeration system is covered for 5 years.
The standard industry size of 42" allows this unit to fit most standard sleeves for easy installation of replacement units.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
