Friedrich PTAC units are super quiet and efficient. They can be used in both commercial and residential applications. This unit is backed with the reliability you have come to expect from a company like Friedrich who only makes one thing - air conditioners. The PDH07R3SGR3 Friedrich Premier line PTAC unit proudly includes R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment.
The PDH07R3SGR3 PTAC unit offers 7300 BTU cooling capacity with a 6000 BTU heat pump, plus electric heat and an EER of 13. This unit features 2 fan speeds for better circulation and with 265V electricity, it is for commercial use only. The Constant Fan Mode on the SG Series produces an uninterrupted stream of white noise. This helps to block outside noise as well as minimize the some of the noise related to compressor start-up.
When you order a Friedrich PTAC unit, a power cord is included. The PDH07R3SGR3 comes with a 20 Amp cord. The power cord provides 3.5 kW of electric heat. Friedrich PTACs come with a Universal Heater. The output of the heater is determined by the power cord you select. By changing the power cord, you can change the heat output of the universal heater. The power cord features a quick connect on the unit side for easy installation.
Standard features included on all Friedrich SG Series PTACs include two separate motors - one indoor and one outdoor, for quieter operation, a tangential blower wheel for efficiency and an easy-to-use digital control pad with LCD readout and electronic one-touch operation. The blower wheel casts a large air flow path in order to circulate conditioned air across the entire room. It is also loaded with top-of-the-line engineered capabilities like internal diagnostics, remote thermostat operation, electronic defrost control, and electronic temperature limiting - just to name a few.
Thoughtful maintenance details include service error code memory storage, emergency heat override plus a user-friendly design. Easy access to components for repair and cleaning like top-mounted filters improve serviceability and durability. The antimicrobial-treated filter protects against fungal and bacterial growth. It is removable and washable. A fresh air damper can be opened to allow outside air in preventing indoor air staleness. Friedrich PTACs are also equipped with Room Freeze Protection. This feature automatically turns the heat on in unoccupied rooms when the temperature drops to 40°F. In total, the PDH07R3SG has over 40 standard features.
In addition to all of the features offered, Friedrich PTAC units are also backed by an industry-leading warranty. The warranty includes 2 year parts and labor and a 5 year limited warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.
The standard industry size of 42" allows this unit to fit most standard sleeves for easy installation of replacement units.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
