They are packed with features and are backed with the reliability you have come to expect from Friedrich. The PDH09R3SGR3 Friedrich Premier line PTAC unit proudly includes R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment.
The PDH09R3SGR3 PTAC unit offers 9,800 BTU cooling capacity with an 8,600 BTU heat pump, plus electric heat. This unit features 2 fan speeds for better circulation and with 265V electricity, it is for commercial use only. The SG series also has a Constant Fan Mode that offers a background of white noise while at the same time helping to lower outdoor noise infiltration and indoor noise usually associated with compressor start-up.
When you order a Friedrich PTAC unit, a power cord is included. The PDH09R3SGR3 comes with a 20 Amp cord. The power cord provides 3.5 kW of electric heat. Friedrich PTACs come with a Universal Heater. The output of the heater is determined by the power cord you select. The universal heater allows the installer to change the heat output by simply changing the power cord. The power cord snaps into the unit for quick installation.
Standard features including the easily accessible and easy to use LCD digital control pad with one-touch operation, and the combination of an indoor and an outdoor motor as well as a tangential blower wheel contribute to the quiet and efficient operation of this unit. The blower wheel creates a wide air flow path to circulate the conditioned air throughout the room. It is also loaded with top-of-the-line engineered capabilities like internal diagnostics, remote thermostat operation, electronic defrost control, and electronic temperature limiting - just to name a few.
Thoughtful maintenance details include service error code memory storage, emergency heat override plus a user-friendly design. Easy access to components for repair and cleaning like top-mounted filters improve serviceability and durability. The antimicrobial-treated filter protects against fungal and bacterial growth. It is removable and washable. A fresh air damper can be opened to allow outside air in preventing indoor air staleness. Friedrich PTAC units include Room Freeze Protection, which calls up the heat in unoccupied rooms. If the temperature drops to 40°F, it will raise the temperature to 46°F. In all, this PTAC boasts over 40 standard features.
To back it all up, the Friedrich PDH09R3SGR3 is backed with an industry-leading warranty. The warranty includes 2 year parts and labor and a 5 year limited warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.
This unit is designed to fit in the industry standard wall sleeve size of 42" wide by 16" high which makes for easy replacement even in a competitors sleeve.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
This model meets the requirements for use in California and Washington.
