When you need comfort control in two adjacent rooms but have only one Friedrich PTAC unit, the Friedrich PDXDAA Duct Adapter, will help transfer air from one room to another. The duct mounts to the wall sleeve and can be used in either right or left side duct applications. Additionally, the kit allows for adjustable airflow between the 2 adjacent spaces. It is factory set for 80% in the unit space and 20% in the adjacent space but can be adjusted to 75%/25% or 70%/30%.
In order to get conditioned air into a secondary space you are trying to cool or heat, the adapter kit (PDXDAA) is required for your PTAC unit. Additional duct extensions are also available separately. Each extension is 4ft long. up to 3 extensions total can be used. Keep in mind that the longer your duct length, the more airflow is reduced.
This kit includes both the lateral duct adapter and an additional duct extension together. It includes a duct plenum, front grille, 47" duct extension (2), duct discharge grille, duct end cap and all necessary mounting hardware.
