Friedrich ZoneAire Select PZE15K5SC is a 14,300 BTU cooling PTAC with a 30 Amp Cord providing 5.0 kW electric heat PTAC unit. Friedrich PTACs are quiet, efficient and reliable. They can be used in both commercial and residential applications. This unit is backed with the reliability you have come to expect from a company like Friedrich, experts in room air conditioning. Now Friedrich offers PTAC units with R32 refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment. R32 AC units not only meet the latest environmental standards but also promise superior efficiency and sustainability. With R32, you're choosing lower GWP and a taking an easy step towards a healthier planet.
Friedrich Select Series PTACs provide reliable performance at an entry level price point while still maintaining Friedrich quality and durable construction. The Select Series features aluminum end plates and DiamonBlue Advanced Corrosion protection for a longer life in coastal area where the environment is harsher due to the salt water. Another feature includes an automatic sampling of the room temperature every nine minutes to ensure that the desired conditions are maintained. The fresh air damper brings fresh outdoor air inside when desired. Additionally, the Select Series has an internal diagnostic program to alert you to component failures or other operating issues.
The PZE15K5SC has an EER of 10.0 making it an efficient system to cool your space. It uses 208 / 230V electricity and has a 2 speed fan plus auto for better circulation.
The digital touch pad is easy to use and clearly labeled. Additionally, several thermostats are available for use with the Select Series. These include the RT7 (wired, non-programmable) and the RT7P (wired, programmable) and the WRT2 (wireless, programmable). All can be used with either the electric heat or the heat pump Select Series model PTACs.

The standard industry size of 42" allows this unit to fit most standard sleeves for easy installation of replacement units.
New installations require a sleeve and a rear grille. These items are not included with the air conditioner. Fits a standard PTAC Sleeve Size (WxHxD): 42" x 16 1/16" x 14 1/8". The cut-out dimensions for this unit are 42-1/4"w x 16-1/4"h.
