As efficient in cooling as any other GE products, this portable air conditioner provides three distinct functions in one convenient, portable unit: air conditioning with 3 fan speeds, dehumidification, and fan only operation. Additionally, this portable air unit includes heat! This unit is ideal for use anywhere you need quick, convenient comfort control, including but not limited to garages, dorm rooms, workshops, home offices, attics, basements. It is great to keep on hand for quick solves for cooling or heating gaps almost anywhere in your space.
A portable air conditioner unit needs to be vented to an outdoor space such as out a window. An extendable window panel kit and an extendable (up to 5 ft.) exhaust hose are included. The window mounting kit includes a center panel and several extension pieces to accommodate many window sizes (20" min. - 46" max.) using different combinations of extension panels. The minimum window opening height is 20". The window installation kit easily installs in a double hung or sliding window. The APSA13YBMW is perfect for medium spaces, up to about 550 sq. ft. All models include a remote control. An easy-to-access permanent, washable mesh air filter for easy maintenance keep your air clean and the unit running efficiently.
The APSA13YBMW features 9,950 BTUs (as rated by SACC*) and 14,000 BTUs (as rated by ASHRAE) max. cooling capacity. The difference is SACC uses actual conditions versus ASHRAE which is tested in perfect conditions. It is a 3-in-1 portable unit that will keep you comfortable with its 3 cooling modes, 3 fan speeds and dehumidifier. This portable AC unit also offers 11,000 BTUs heating capacity. Perfect for spot cooling and heating all year long. Other features of this portable air conditioner unit include 24 on/off timer, auto restart after a power outage. It features Capacitive Touch (like a touchscreen) controls and easy to read LED display panel with nightlight.
The compact, portable air conditioner plugs into standard 115-volt HH outlet with a 6ft long power cord. It includes easy-roll casters for portability. A gravity drain hose is also included for continuous draining while the unit is in dehumidifying mode. The unit measures 18.5" x 32.0" x 15.5" (w x h x d) so storage should be easy, when not in use.
Unit is a SINGLE hose unit.
