The RAVTRANS2 transition kit is required when replacing your older AZ Series VTACs with the newer AZ95 units. The RAVTRANS2 kit is to be used when replacing AZ75, AZ85, AZ90 and AZ91 series units with existing 6", 8", 12" or 15" fixed length tan wall plenums. If you have an AZ90 or AZ91 installed with a telescoping plenum (RAVWPT8 or RAVWPT14) a different transition kit is required*.
Installation of a new AZ95 series unit with a transition plenum will take up approximately 1 1/2” of additional closet space once the unit is fully installed. Before starting the conversion be sure there is adequate closet space to meet the manufacture’s recommend minimum clearance requirements.
The kit includes the transition plenum, front bracket and screws. It is 33-1/10"h x 23-1/10"w x 4-1/2"d.
*The RAVWPT8 requires RAVTRANS3 while the RAVWPT14 requires RAVTRANS4.
If you are replacing an AZ75 or AZ85 with an AZ90/91 you will need a RAVTRANS. If you are replacing it with an AZ95 you will need a RAVTRANS2. If you are replacing an AZ90/91 with an AZ95 you will need a RAVTRANS3 or RAVTRANS4.
