The ICM495-30A-F is a fused 30A disconnect with built-in surge protection. The surge protector device (SPD) is installed in a NEMA Type 3R powder-coated enclosure and can be installed either indoors or outdoors. The enclosure features several punch outs for easy wiring of your system. Additionally, the ICM495 is pre-wired and grounded directly to the enclosure and cover at the factory. A green LED status light will illuminate once fully installed, letting you know that the surge protection is operational. Most manufacturers do NOT cover damage from power surges, making protection a significant priority.
The ICM495 is equipped for service voltages at 120VAC single-phase or 240VAC split-phase. For use with household electrical appliances including air conditioners, heat pumps, mini splits, pools, spas, and more. It is for use in Type 2 applications ONLY. It has a maximum surge current of 100 kA (single event) and a nominal discharge current of 20 kA (15 events). Thermal protection is offered on the surge elements (TFMOV’s) and allows for safe disabling when a surge exceeds thermal limits. The surge protective device on the ICM495 is also field-replaceable (ICM495-SUB).
