The King EFW-LD Safe Touch Wall Heater is an electric, fan driven heater. The EFW Safe Touch Heater is a low density heater and a great option for use in facilities that has high risk occupants. A low density heater uses a lower temperature to operate. Facilities such as Assisted Living, Day Care, Memory Care and even dorm rooms are just a few examples where this low density electric wall heater could work. The surface temperature on this line of wall heaters will not exceed 120°F making it safe in any environment.
The EFW heater includes King Electric's Patented Smart Limit Protection that automatically disconnects the elements and motor if it gets overheated. The heater must be manually reset. To reset the heater, simply turn off the heater, wait 15 minutes for the limit to reset and turn it back on.
This 1,200 Watt wall heater uses 208 volt electricity. It has a 5 blade aluminum fan and a Ni-Chrome open coil heating element sits safely behind the slatted white front grille (approx. 3/4" deep).
A single- or double-pole thermostat is available separately with this unit. Field-installed thermostat kits include standard and tamper-proof kits. Field installation is easy. Simply remove the grill, pop the fan out, install the thermostat and easily fit it all back together. For easy access control, a knob is included with the thermostat and it installs right through the pop-out hole on the front of the grill. This heater will also work with a King wall thermostat including the HOOT WiFi programmable and ClearTouch (K302PE [programmable] and K322E [non-programmable]). The EFW-LD heaters can be ganged together to work on one thermostat if a higher output is required for your space. The heater is a quick installation as well. It features a 3-3/4" deep and 11-1/2" wide the wall can easily fits in a 4" wall and attaches easily to the studs.
