The King Electric multi-watt toe kick heater is the heater you never knew you needed! At only 3-1/2" tall, it tucks in neatly under your cabinets, eliminating the need to fit a full baseboard heater into your space. It is virtually unseen. Since it is installed at the floor level, you will be comfortable from your toes up! In a horizontal installation, air is pulled in on one side and discharged out the other. The KTW can also be installed vertically. When installed vertically air is pulled in at the top and discharged from the bottom. Additionally, it can be installed in a cabinet, cabin or boat - wherever you need some heat but didn't think it would fit.
The KTW series includes a hi/lo switch. It is factory wired to 750 Watts for low and 1500 Watts for high. Because it is a field adjustable, multi-wattage unit, you can configure the hi/lo wattages to best suit your needs. By simply moving the quick connect wires from one terminal to another, the wattage can be adjusted. The KTW low position can be adjusted for 250, 500, 750, 1000 or 1250 watts while the hi position can be 750, 1000 or 1250 or 1500 Watts. The combined wattage cannot exceed 1500W. (See installation instructions for wiring configuration examples.) Before installing your heater, simply decide on the wattages you want for your room and easily connect/disconnect the appropriate wire(s) for the desired hi/lo wattages. Typically, smaller spaces would not require the 1500 Watts.
It also has a durable, powder-coated white finished grille. The KTW also features King's Patented Smart Limit Protection (SLP). If anything is blocking the heater, the SLP senses it and will shut down the heater. Clearance in front of this heater is 9 inches.
The front of the grille also has a small knock-out area to add a knob thermostat (TKIT-2BW) that fits right into the front for easy access to control. TKIT-2BW is a double pole thermostat. It is field installed and comes in white to match the grill on the heater. Conversely, a wall thermostat can be installed to operate this heater. Each heater does require its own thermostat to operate.
The KTW2415-HLS-RG is available in Black (KTW2415-HLS-RG-B) or White (KTW2415-HLS-RG-W - please call for availability). It uses 208/240 volt electricity. Dual rated heaters will draw 13% less amps and 25% less wattage when operated at 208V. Specifications reflect 240V usage. This heater is also available in 120V (KTW1215-HLS-RG) in white or black.
