Kwikool KPO25-43 270,000 BTU Indoor/Outdoor High Static Portable Air Conditioner - 460 Volt/3 Phase

KwiKool offers several portable air options for the commercial industry. These units are created specifically for areas that are difficult to cool. The KPO line of portable air includes units designed with high static blowers specifically for areas that are hard to reach with conventional products. The KPO high static and airflow units are used in indoor and outdoor temporary installations and are available in 5 ton, 12 ton and 25 ton options. Three 60,000 BTU / 5 ton units are available (208/230 single phase, 230/3 phase and 460/3 phase); two 135,000 BTU / 12 Ton units (230/3 phase or 460/3 phase); and the 270,000 BTU / 25 Ton  (460/3 phase) unit.

The Model KPO25-43 is a 25-ton / 270,000 BTU unit. It uses 460 volt / 3 phase electricity. An 100 amp circuit is required when using 430/3 electricity for this unit. The KPO25-43 comes with built-in Cam Lock Connections and must be hardwired by a qualified electrician. The KPO25 is the largest KPO unit but still offers an extremely small footprint compared to other systems with similar capabilities. It is 66"w x 66"l x 60"h. This unit is designed to be placed outdoor with ducts running into the building space where it is needed. It uses high static blowers to reach an isolated heat load such as sealed interior spaces. Its airflow capabilities can reach up to 75 feet through 20" cold air supply and return ducts, eliminating additional booster blowers.

The KPO25 is available with (KPO25-43H) or without (KPO25-43) an optional Heat Strip. The Heat Strip makes this indoor/outdoor air conditioner a viable option for heat use as well. The electric heat strip option is 48kW / 166,600 BTUs. The standard unit does not include the heat strip and is a cooling only unit.

The KPO series is a rugged and reliable indoor/outdoor cooling source. It has many heavy duty construction features including a 16 gauge insulated G90 galvanized and epoxy powder-coated cabinet mounted to a 12 gauge skid. The heavy duty base /skid provides fork lift skid access for easy movement, setup, and transport. This unit does not include wheels. A sturdy frame is now available to house your KPO25-43 unit. It is a heavy duty frame that adds protection for and stackability of your KPO-25-43. The last photo above shows the unit in the frame with an empty frame above. The frame is NOT sold separately. A single KPO25-43 weighs about a ton and the frame is designed to carry that weight. Up to three units can be stacked.

The KPO series is primarily used for cooling areas with a high concentration of heat load, usually from electrical or computer equipment or other sealed interior room. The KPO units offer an effective, affordable solutions including spot cooling for workers or process cooling within larger spaces without the use of condenser ducting, such as warehouses, factories or production areas.

All units in the KPO line do require a duct to direct the cooling into the conditioned space. For the KPO25, this is done with four 20” diameter ducts - 2 for supply and 2 for return air. The maximum length for each of these ducts is 75 feet. A 20” diameter duct for the condenser exhaust allows for a maximum of 100 feet for hot air discharge ducting. The KPO series comes equipped with an internal high lift condensate pump to give you condensate flexibility.
