The GLASS-BZ is a bag of Bronze Glass for your converted Contemporary Ruby35 fireplace insert. The CKRUBY35 includes 2 bags of glass - a bag of Diamond and a bag of Onyx Glass. The Bronze glass can either be added into the mix of diamond and onyx or used separately. If you would like a solid bronze glass bed, then two bags is required. The Ruby35 uses approximately 1-1/2 bags of glass for the fire bed.
In addition to the Diamond (GLASS-DM) and onyx (GLASS-OY) glass included with the CKRUBY35 glass conversion kit, sapphire glass (GLASS-SP), bronze glass (GLASS-BZ) are also available to help customize the look of your fireplace. Other additional media includes stones (STONES-NATURAL) and a driftwood log set (DWLG-MI-MAJ). Once you have converted your direct vent Ruby35 to a contemporary fireplace, a glass media bed is required for any additional media such as a stone kit or the the driftwood logs. Two bags of stones are recommended for the bed of your Ruby35. Adding glass media to your fireplace takes the traditional feel out of your recently converted old fireplace and gives it a modern, contemporary look.
Approximately 1-1/2 bags of crushed glass are recommended. When using the Glass Conversion kit (CKRUBY35), the LINER-MOD35-BK, reflective black glass liner is required. A refractory liner is not compatible with the CKRUBY35 kit.
