When installing your Reznor heater above 6000 feet (1830 meters), a change in pressure switches is required. The high altitude pressure switch 197028 is used with several Reznor heaters. Pressure switches are specific to Reznor heaters.
The 197028 Pressure Switch is the appropriate kit required for high altitude installation of the following Reznor Heaters:
- UDX125
- UDZ125
- UBX125
- UBZ125
It can also be used for UDZ30 and UDZ45 as a replacement for altitudes from 0 - 6000 ft.
Please note if you are installing your Reznor Heater above 2000 feet (and below 6000) the input rate must be derated. This is done simply by adjusting the valve outlet (see installation manual). You do not need to install anything further.
The 197028 Pressure Switch can also be used as a replacement pressure limit switch for older UDAP and UDAS models. Its yellow label indicates the .65"w.c. It can be used with models:
- UDAP30, UDAP45, UDAP60, UDAP75
- UDAS30, UDAS45, UDAS60, UDAS75
It can also be used on UDAP30 and UDAS30 units with a factory installed Common Vent Option (type CV)
