Product Overview
The S&P Model CWD Direct Drive Centrifugal Sidewall Exhauster is UL705 Listed for exhausting relatively clean air from various types of facilities including industrial, commercial and institutional buildings. Applications may include equipment rooms, retail locations, storage areas and schools. Restaurant use is permissible but not in a grease/kitchen application. The UL 705 listing does not include use in corrosive or flammable atmospheres.
The CWD sidewall exhauster features a spun aluminum dome that protects the inner workings from the weather. All CWD models feature a relatively low profile, protruding minimally from the side wall offering a less obtrusive silhouette. The dome of the exhauster removes for easy access to the motor for the maintenance. Also standard is a birdscreen and plug disconnect switch.
Because of its non-overloading centrifugal wheel and its high static pressure capability, the CWD exhausters can be used in a ducted or non-ducted installation. The size 10, CWD10PH1AS has a 10" fan and will produce 1453 CFMs at zero static pressure.
A direct drive unit is quieter with smaller wheels and lower RPMs and are easier to maintain than belt driven units since they have no belt or fan bearings.
S&P CWD model Direct Drive Centrifugal Sidewall Exhausters can be used to replace Greenheck CW, Loren Cook ACWD, Pennbarry WFX, Carnes VWDK, Acme PW and, Fantech 5DDW models.
