This compact dehumidifier can operate in a wide range of temperatures from 33°F - 105°F. It also offers a wide range of Operating Relative Humidity Levels from 36% - 90%. It has a rated Condensate Capacity of 60 pints per day (at 80°F and 60% RH). The WatchDog NXT60 also features an easy to use, digital touch pad to set your desired humidity level and auto defrost. Additionally, The NXT60 Series of dehumidifiers includes auto restart after a power failure, giving you one less thing to worry about.
The WatchDog NXT60 is meant to be installed in a crawl space, near your sump pump or other drainage area for the gravity drain system to function properly. A 12" drain line comes standard. The unit must be elevated to some degree to allow for water to flow through the gravity drain. It requires a 115V, 3 prong GFI outlet with a 15 amp time delay fuse. It should be placed in an easily accessible area to allow for routine maintenance. Once you have the dehumidifier level, you need to direct the exhaust outlet into the desired location. Typically, you will want to choose the longest, unobstructed dimension in the crawl space. If there is a particularly damp, out of the way area of your crawl space, the warm exhaust can be vented there to help dry it out.
Maintenance is easy on this dehumidifier as well. It uses several different options of filters including MERV-10, HEPA or Carbon filters for trapping airborne particles. These filters are disposable and should be checked at least once a year. The pre-filter is washable and the MERV/HEPA/Carbon filter can easily be removed and replaced.
The Watchdog NXT60 can also be ducted. Ducting requires a 10" collar kit for both the Supply Duct and Return Duct. Ducting is optional and Duct Collar Kits are sold separately.
