Product Overview
The SunStar Ceramic Infrared Heater is NOT for use in residential applications. It is also for indoor installation only.
Like the warming sun, the SunStar Ceramic Heater radiates heat directly where you want it - at floor level. With an infrared heating system, the floor, the equipment or machinery and people are heated first. The slab floor of your space should help maintain some of the heat so when the warehouse doors are opened, the heat is recovered faster. With an infrared heater, such as the SGM Series, you can save from 30% to 50% in fuel costs over forced air convection heating. It is the perfect solution to heating your warehouse, factory floor or machine shop as well as many other large, hard to heat indoor space.
The SGM Series of Ceramic Infrared heaters are constructed of aluminized steel for durability. The SGM6 feature 52,000 BTUs, aluminum reflectors and a Millivolt Standing Pilot. No electricity is required for this heater so it will continue to heat in the event of a power failure.
A thermostat is required to operate this unit. The SGM Series Ceramic Heater is available in Natural Gas (SGM6N1A) or Liquid Propane (SGM6L1).
