While we all love the benefits we reap from refrigerants in our air conditioner systems, a leak can be dangerous to the environment. Frequently undetected until our appliance stops working, leaking refrigerant is never good and we need to do our best to keep leaks at bay. Detecting refrigerant leaks in your air conditioner, refrigerator or heat pump system is an extremely important factor in helping to prevent unnecessary environmental damage. It also ensures safe operation of these types of units by quickly identifying leaks. Refrigerant leak detectors are used to detect and help remedy the situation.
The Wohler RL 200 refrigerant leak detector offers reliable detection of even the smallest refrigerant leaks - 3g/a (grams refrigeration loss per year). It was developed in accordance with the strict guidelines of the F-Gas Regulation and BS EN 14624:2012. The RL 200 meets the highest standards in terms of environmental protection and technical precision.
The RL 200 is very easy to use. It has a clear, digital display as well as an audible signal letting you know there is a leak. There is nothing to attach, simply move the adjustable gooseneck on the RL 200 across all connection points, including valves, pipes and flanges, slowly across the entire condenser unit. If a leak is detected, an audible signal will alert you and the display will also change (between 0 and 7). The faster the signal, the higher the number displayed on your RL 200. You can adjust the sensitivity on the RL 200 as well.
Included is the RL 200 leak detector with 17" flexible gooseneck, batteries and a plastic carrying case.
