The ActivFlo Lite is a great alternative to installing a complete water softener system into your home. The ActivFlo Lite is a point of use water conditioner. It is installed right in the cold water line at your hot water heater - regardless of whether you have a traditional storage tank or a tankless water heater.
When you install an ActivFlo Lite, you will prevent new limescale build-up while eliminating old limescale build-up that is already junking up your pipes! Your water appliances, such as your water heater, dishwasher and washing machine, will be protected from limescale build-up, increasing their efficiency and perhaps even increasing the life span of the these appliances. All of this and no salt, no electricity and no maintenance is required on your part!
Through an electrolytic process, the calcite minerals that adhere to your pipes, are turned into an insoluble crystal which is suspended in the water line until it is pushed through the system and washed down your drain. The best part is that all of this take place inside the 8" long ActivFlo Lite. The water conditioner connection easily fits right onto your cold water line with its 3/4" female NPT connection.
